Slow Fade
Light is powerful—it guides, exposes, and brings warmth. God is light, and as His followers, we are called to reflect that light. But when we allow sin into our lives, that light slowly fades.
Sin is anything that goes against God’s Word, whether clearly defined in Scripture or revealed through personal conviction. The Bible tells us that all have sinned (Romans 3:23), and sin separates us from God. Even small compromises, over time, can dim our spiritual light, leading us back into darkness.
But there is hope! Just as dust can be wiped from a lightbulb, our hearts can be cleansed through repentance. Removing sin starts with four key steps:
1. Acknowledge your sin – Be honest with God about where you’ve fallen short.
2. Seek forgiveness – Confess and trust in God’s promise to forgive (1 John 1:9).
3. Repent with sincerity – True repentance is turning away from sin, not just feeling guilty.
4. Live a changed life – Stay close to God through Scripture, prayer, and a faith community.
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness” (John 8:12). Don’t let sin slowly fade your light—walk in the fullness of God’s presence today!
