An Altar Without Ashes

Aug 31, 2025    Chad Rowan

“An Altar Without Ashes,” draws from Leviticus 6:9–11 to show that ashes symbolize a completed sacrifice, God’s acceptance, and the removal of sin. Too often, Christians build altars but fail to fully surrender, offering partial sacrifices instead of allowing God’s fire to consume everything. Paul’s teaching in Romans 12:1–2 calls believers to present themselves as living sacrifices that are holy, acceptable, and transformed by the renewing of their minds. True worship is not partial or outward but complete, inward, and lasting leaving nothing behind but ashes as evidence of a life wholly given to God.
