Seeing the Need

Blindness affects vision. Our spiritual vision so often gets impaired or blinded by the adversary, keeping us so caught up with the things of this world. We lose the focus of our needs and our vision. Jesus.

Bartimaeus was blind, but he could see the need for MERCY. While we are not physically blind, we don’t see what we truly “need” which is Jesus and him crucified. We instead, much like the disciples and throngs of people around them, become blinded with our goals and aspirations. We loose sight of the need of Jesus for ourselves and everyone around us. The only need we have is Jesus and his mercy.

Just as Jesus touched Bartimaeus and gave him full vision by his faith, we must use our faith in Jesus to obtain mercy at the foot of the cross. We must then accept our ministry and take the vision we have been given to the blind world around us!

Lord, touch our eyes. Give us spiritual vision so we can keep the Need focused on JESUS.
